Thanks for the sunshine!
Of course, it's so hot and humid outside ( especially for me )... Perhaps I'd welcome a little bit of snow and colder air right about now. Needless to say, I have the AC set at 75 degrees right now with two big glasses of ice-cold tea in each hand.
I went outside around noontime to do a little walking today, and I'm so frustrated with myself that I only lasted 20 minutes. The gray T-shirt I was wearing was completely wet from my own sweat, and I felt helpless a little bit...
I wanted to do so much more, I wanted to not only jog the entire time but i wanted to sprint and run as fast as I could. And the fact I simply couldn't do it ( run for any length of time )... It made me feel like a failure. I can run hard right now, but I can't do it for very long without gasping for air.
For just one day, I'd like to trade places with a finely-tuned athlete in professional sports, or a well-trained Marine who's in the best physical shape he can be in. I often wonder how that feels like, because I haven't felt healthy since 1999 when I played Right Tackle on my Varsity Football team.
